JOB SUMMARY

RequirementsA minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience, preferably in hotel management/services or a hospitality-related field.At least one (1) year of formal education at the college or university level in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including familiarity with auditing processes, reconciliations, and financial tracking.Proficiency in financial management software and systems, with the ability to generate financial reports.Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills to evaluate financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-paced environment.Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce.Familiarity with Navy or Department of Defense lodging or hospitality operations.Experience working in hotel financial operations, including billing, auditing, and budget tracking.Valid country driver’s license.Advanced certifications in accounting or financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks or other hospitality accounting systems).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting and Financial Reporting:Performing routine accounting duties, including processing financial transactions, account reconciliations, and tracking expenditures.Managing accounting records and documentation for operational and financial activities in compliance with Navy and company protocols.Verifying and posting details of business transactions, such as revenues, expenses, refunds, or other accounts-related activities.Coordination and Analysis:Collaborating with hospitality staff and management to ensure accurate financial reporting for hotel operations.Identifying discrepancies and coordinating with management to resolve accounting-related issues.Assisting in financial audits by providing accurate and up-to-date financial data and supporting documentation.System Operations:Using financial management software and systems to record and track operational data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established financial policies.Producing reports and summaries of financial activities for management review, including profit and loss statements for NGIS operations.
