We are Medical Training college that offers a variety of health courses.
Key Duties and responsibilities
Conduct teaching and instruction of students both in the classroom and clinical placements. Participate in curriculum design and development Prepare course outlines and learning materials for teaching and instruction. Mentor/counsel students through adhoc and regular meetings and keep minutes for such meetings to determine progress. Set, moderate, conduct and mark exams on time. Participate in planning and evaluating curricula and other learning activities. Participate in Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCEs) on specified skills the students are required to master before attending to patients. Participate in Nursing Council assessments for students within the clinical placements. Liaise with the head of the resource centre in keeping an inventory of all teaching materials. Liaise with the training sites (hospitals and health centres) to coordinate teaching and learning activities for the students during practicums /clinical placements. Regularly update the teaching staff and students on new developments. In collaboration with the Principal, ensure that students maintain a high level of discipline. In collaboration with the Principal, ensure that the curriculum is followed and suggestion for review noted. Conduct operations research in the areas of subject matter interest and expertise. Any other duties as required.JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Qualifications
Nurse training and in possession of a current nursing license Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Work Experience
Teaching Experience of at least 3 years. Experience in curriculum development and review. Clinical instruction Experience in Teaching competency-based curriculum will be an added advantage Experience in theatre operations will be an added advantageSKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
