With 56 constituent colleges spread throughout the country as far as Lodwar and Garissa, Loitoktok, Kisumu and Kapenguria, the impact of the College in improving Kenya’s healthcare is felt in virtually all parts of the country. The wide range of our courses, from certificate to diploma to higher diploma, reflects the institution’s responsiveness to the needs of our country. The ever-rising interest by Kenyans to study at the College is a demonstration of the trust bestowed on us by the public and the aspirations of our valued clients, the students. The only public mid-level health training institution in the health ministry, KMTC started in with four students. Today it has grown tremendously, curving a niche for itself as one of the largest medical training institution in East and Central Africa and even beyond- drawing students from Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Sudan and Nigeria.
Job Summary
Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve: project monitoring, evaluation and reporting; economic planning; production and compilation of statistical data; initiation of College planning policies, collection and presentation of statistical data in the form of survey reports and bulletins. In addition, the officer will be required to supervise staff working under him/her.
Requirements for Appointments
For appointment to this level an officer must have: –
Served in the grade of Senior Economist/Senior Planning officer or in a comparable position in the Public Service or a reputable Private Sector Organization for a minimum period of six years with at least three years in supervisory level; Bachelors degree in Economics or Economics and Mathematics, or Economics and Statistics from a recognized institution/institution; Masters degree in Economics or Economics and Mathematics, or Economics and Statistics from a recognized institution Certificate in a Management Course lasting not less than four weeks from a recognized (v) institution; Proficiency in Computer Applications; Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results. The successful candidates shall be required to provide the following documents before issuance of the offer letter in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution : Certificates of clearance from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA); Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); Higher Education Loans Board (HELB); Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) and valid Certificate of Good Conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).Important Safety Tips
