PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - VA

We are recruiting a full-time Production Supervisor to be based in Makenji along Muruka-Kandara Road in Muranga County. The Production Supervisor will report to the Process Coordinator and will be responsible of the following Duties. 

Key Duties/Responsibilities

i. Plan schedule in order to meet production targets on a daily basis;

ii. Manage manpower according to daily production target;

iii. Direct and coordinate the activities of employees involved in production;

iv. Work with other departments such as logistics and HR etc. to resolve workers problem, complains and grievances;

v. Maintaining record of daily production records and breakdowns and losses maintain work order inclusive of production floor hygiene and waste management;

vi. Ensuring continuous workflow manpower management inclusive of training; 

vii. Ensure continuity of production through breakdown management and corrective maintenance; 

viii. Analysis of data from production;

ix. Knowledge of tools and generating effective solutions;

x. Planning and study of machine performance;

xi. Analysis of defects on raw materials and machines and end product; 

xii. Updating daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance;

xiii. Identifying all means of increasing productivity; 

xiv. Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirement

I. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher diploma in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical,

Mechatronics or Chemical engineering

ii. Minimum three years working experience two of which should be in a supervisory

role (experience in a FMCG is an addended advantage)

iii. Ability to manage own work flow and to meet deadlines while responding to frequent

demands of clients (internal and external).

iv. Ability to work in a rapidly changing and growth-oriented environment with regularly

changing priorities and developing opportunities.

v. Excellent reporting and communication skills, both written and verbal.
