Quality Control Specialist

Location: Meru, Kenya

Our company is seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Specialist for our tea export business. You will play a crucial role in managing and expanding our quality control operations, keeping to schedules, ensuring precise communication and being a big part in what will likely be rapid business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Production Quality Control (QC):

o Supervise QC on production work in progress 

o Conduct QC on incoming raw materials (ingredient and packaging shipments).

o Supervise the production of finished goods, performing the final checks.

o Follow detailed procedures to complete QC checklists.

o Prepare and manage Quality Assurance (QA) for small sample to full container shipments for export. 

• Communications Management:

o Maintain strong relationships with the lead company in Canada, and Kenyan partner companies.

o Provide timely communication to address inquiries, resolve issues, and build long-term partnerships.

• Logistics and Supply Chain Management:

o Coordinate the logistics and supply chain processes for domestic operations.

o Planning and ensuring production from raw materials through to export timelines are met.

o Work closely with all raw material suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Requirements:

• Full time role, based in Meru Township 

• Proven experience over 3-5 years in quality control and operations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swahili and English

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Control Management or matching export business experience.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
