The holding company was set up to among other things to enhance the Group’s capacity to access unrestricted capital and also enable investment in new ventures outside banking regulations, achieve operational and strategic autonomy for the Group’s operating entities and enhance corporate governance across the Group and oversight in management of subsidiaries.SummaryReporting to the Research Manager, the role is to ensure that the research reports of the company are accurate and complete, and that every research report is an accurate reflection of the transaction(s) it represents. The position provides intelligence and present insight in a way that both internal and external customers can understand. The candidate will work closely with the Dealing/Investment team to develop trading ideas and ensure that clients receive sound financial advice.Key Responsibilities Develop reports on investment analysis to facilitate the investment decision process during investment committee meetings.Conduct portfolio analysis to make recommendations regarding asset allocation and compile the client investment reports in liaison with the Portfolio ManagersGather and collate financial and qualitative data on all stocks listed at the NSE and evaluate macro-economic data and business trends.Develop financial models, conduct independent business valuations, and maintain and update the company’s research library.Conduct client presentations on specific investment options.Source for suitable investments (listed or unlisted) and present the evaluation and opinion to the investment committee.Create and update models and conduct due diligence visits to define investment case for each counter.Attend investor analyst briefings, company, client visit and compile reports. The PersonFor the above position, the successful applicant should have the following: A bachelor’s degree in a business-related course or equivalent.At least of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.Passed at least Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program.Must demonstrate excellent Research and Analytical skills.Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and other analytical toolsMust be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision.
