OVERVIEW

Reports to the Hospital CEO and will partner with management and other stakeholders to plan, direct, implement, and operate the new CTC within the business plan timelines. The Hospital is a Christian community committed to excellence in compassionate healthcare, spiritual ministry, and training for service to the glory of God.

The Cardiothoracic Center, a 295,000-square-foot facility, will equip the Hospital with 124 beds, a cardiac catheterization lab, and six new operating rooms. The Cardiothoracic Center will also be home to advanced training programs to develop first and subsequent generations of cardiovascular surgical specialists for Sub-Saharan Africa, raising up surgeons and other health workers to meet medical needs throughout the continent.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Maintaining a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and being a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Working on location in Bomet, Kenya alongside Hospital Management and other stakeholders to plan for, activate, and operate the CTC within timelines as directed by Hospital’s CEO Training, mentoring, and discipling a Kenyan understudy designated to lead the CTC in the future Providing support in the design and production of special reports as needed Organize and supervise departments to complete all the work objectives, targets and tasks within the scope of their responsibilities, and ensure the orderly and effective management of various tasks. Assist Hospital CEO to formulate the strategic plan for the center’s development, establish the center’s annual business objectives, business plan, budget plan and implementation of the cost assessment. Organize and supervise the safety of the center to ensure the normal operation of the hospital. Fully responsible for customer service center personnel training and operations management, planning and implementation of satisfaction surveys. Coordinate and handle major incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS

An ideal candidate should have a personal and active relationship with Jesus and be a consistent Christian witness.  Cultural awareness, humility, diplomacy and sensitivity is a must! Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or clinical specialty desired. International experience desired. Previous experience in leadership in a clinic or hospital environment desired.
