Job Description/Requirements
Beiersdorf will be interviewing for this role during the Careers in Africa London Summit on the 18th and 19th of April 2024.
- • Identify market challenges, opportunities and right focus in terms of Consumer Marketing Objectives
- • Input into the brand portfolio development and partner with the Global marketing Team
- • Develop a strong local pipeline to deliver on Business Objectives set by the Marketing Manager
- • Build in depth understanding of local consumers and shoppers to input into Consumer market strategy
- • Contribution toward development of annual Consumer Marketing Plan and gain approval for Strategy with the Marketing Manager
- • Lead the adaption of global and regional communication assets for key innovations in the Consumer Marketing Space
- • Develop 360 launch activation campaigns and ensure smooth implementation
- • Execute campaigns to perfection with constant evaluation and optimisation of the creative and media plan for the best possible implementation
- • Responsible for demand forecast meeting to review annual volumes which feed into Sales & Operations Process
- • Evaluate & propose Marketing mix and evaluate media channels
- • Evaluate Brand performance, gather and interpret data & propose activities to rectify poor performance, and spot opportunities / gaps in the market.
- • Responsible for development of brand commercial updates monthly.
- • Responsible for accurately managing allocated budgets throughout the year.
- • Responsible for accurate recons, and media PO tracking.
- • Responsible for maximisation of return on investment by tracking Above the Line campaigns with scan track and PLEs feedback into the business. Implement agreed course correction plans if necessary.
- University degree (Honours); Master Degree an added advantage
- Min 5 years brand management experience in FMCG industry Skills & Abilities
- Marketing skills including ATL BTL development, research briefing & analysis, market analysis, consumer insight development, measurement and tracking of initiatives, claims, product & packaging development, concept development
- Excellent communication skills to manage diverse relationships both locally and internationally.
- Ability to identify patterns in data and develop action plans in response.Â
- Ability to help develop Brand Managers.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, good influencing skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Good analytical and financial skills for share analyses and business case development.Â
- Be able to relocate to South Africa/Central, Eastern and Western Africa
- Be able to attend the recruitment Summit in London on the 18th or 19th of April 2024
