Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their international client in the manufacturing industry is seeking
an experienced Single Facer Operator to operate and manage the Single Facer section of our
corrugator line, specifically BHS corrugation machines. The Single Facer Operator will
ensure efficient production, high quality output, and compliance with safety standards. The ideal
candidate must have experience in corrugated packaging production, with hands-on expertise on
Single Facer/BHS equipment.

Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate the Single Facer machine in line with daily production schedules to achieve
quality and volume targets.
• Prepare, place, and splice web paper rolls correctly for production runs.
• Monitor machine conditions (temperature, glue application, paper alignment) to ensure optimal
performance and product quality.
• Perform necessary adjustments and basic troubleshooting to maintain smooth machine operation.
• Conduct routine machine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and changeovers as required.
• Ensure accurate documentation of production logs, machine settings, and downtime reports.
• Enforce and adhere to all safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures on the production floor.
• Coordinate with team members (wet end, dry end, and maintenance) to optimize production
flow.
• Report issues promptly to supervisors and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications
✓ High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
✓ 2-5 years’ experience operating corrugator Single Facer machines, preferably BHS brand, in a
corrugated packaging environment.
✓ Experience with BHS corrugation equipment and production best practices.
✓ Solid understanding of corrugation processes, paper grades, and web production standards.
✓ Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to make machine adjustments and minor repairs.
✓ Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
✓ Ability to work shifts, including potential overtime.
✓ Knowledge of quality control and safety procedures in corrugated manufacturing.
