Software Engineer

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any related discipline.

• Proficient in PHP with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in busy environments.

• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Slim, Laravel or Symfony.

• Knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Industry experience with Mobile Network Operators technology such as Bulk SMS, USSD, Short Codes, SMPP is a significant advantage.

• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in PHP development.
