STOCK CONTROLLER
Job summary
Our client is looking for a Stock Controller is responsible for receiving, recording, organizing, safeguarding, and controlling technology products and accessories. The role ensures accurate inventory management, proper storage, and efficient movement of stock to support sales, customer service, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
Receive and inspect incoming technology products, including laptops, cameras, printers, networking devices, accessories, and other electronic equipment.
Verify quantities, specifications, serial numbers, and product conditions against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Record all incoming and outgoing stock accurately in inventory management systems and stock registers.
Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Ensure all products are properly tagged, labeled, and assigned unique identifiers for tracking purposes.
Monitor stock levels and notify management of low stock, slow-moving items, or obsolete inventory.
2. Storage and Stock Handling
Organize products within designated storage areas to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
Ensure proper handling and storage of electronic equipment to prevent damage, theft, or deterioration.
Maintain product categorization by brand, model, serial number, and product type.
Coordinate the movement of stock within the organization.
3. Documentation and Record Keeping
Prepare stock reports, inventory updates, and stock movement reports.
Maintain accurate documentation for goods received, transfers, sales, returns, warranties, and damaged items.
Ensure all serial numbers, warranty information, and product details are properly documented.
Maintain proper filing of supplier invoices, delivery notes, and stock adjustment records.
Ensure inventory records comply with company policies and audit requirements.
4. Security and Compliance
Monitor access to storage areas and ensure only authorized personnel handle inventory.
Report missing items, stock variances, damaged products, or suspicious activities immediately.
Ensure adherence to company policies regarding stock handling, security, and loss prevention.
Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, particularly in handling electronic equipment.
Participate in internal and external stock audits. 5. Sales and Operations Support
Support the sales team by providing timely information on product availability and stock status.
Prepare products for customer collection, dispatch, or delivery.
Coordinate product releases after proper verification of sales orders and payment confirmation.
Assist with stock replenishment.
Support promotional activities, product launches, and inventory planning initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate or Diploma in Stores Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, warehousing, or retail operations is an added advantage.
Familiarity with inventory management systems is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
