We are thrilled to offer a stimulating opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Tax Team as a Consultant within our Tax & Legal service line. This role will be based at our Nairobi office in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

1. Service delivery:

  • Providing client services in adherence to relevant Keldine standards, policies, and ethical guidelines.
  • Conducting tax risk assessments and identifying opportunities.
  • Crafting tax opinions, advice, and proposals.
  • Assisting clients in addressing KRA audits.
  • Formulating objections and appeals in response to KRA assessments.

2. Business Development:

  • Contributing to the preparation of proposals, tenders, and presentations.
  • Collaborating with team members to innovate and enhance service offering.
  • Contributing to the creation of new tax products and promoting them in the market.
  • Producing tax publications for clients and composing articles on relevant tax topics.
  • Actively fostering business relationships to generate leads.

3. Project management:

  • Assisting in the execution of designated tax projects, ensuring the implementation of agreed deliverables.
  • Leading teams in executing projects efficiently and effectively.

4. Technical growth:

  • Developing a strong understanding of current tax issues within the tax function.

5. Data analysis:

Leveraging standard tools and data visualizations to collect, assimilate, and analyze pertinent data for insights and solutions.

6. Stakeholder management:

  • Cultivating and managing relationships with clients and the Kenya Revenue Authority.
  • Engaging with the Kenya Revenue Authority on tax and policy-related matters.


Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in commerce/economics/law from a reputable university.

2. Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA etc).

3. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant taxation experience from a reputable firm.

4. Proficiency in tax matters.

5. Strong knowledge of international and national taxation principles.

6. Familiarity with tax dispute resolution framework is an added advantage.

7. Citizens of other EAC partner states are strongly urged to apply.
