Technical Expert in Footwear Adhesives

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Duration: 6 months to 1 year

Compensation: Base compensation depending on experience, with expenses covered while staying in Kenya.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the R&D team in the development and testing of footwear adhesives.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify innovative adhesive solutions for various footwear materials and designs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of adhesive solutions in footwear production.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in adhesive technology to drive continuous improvement and innovation in footwear adhesives.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development and application of adhesives, preferably in the footwear industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of adhesive chemistry, formulation, and testing.
- Proven track record of successful adhesive development projects, with a focus on performance and sustainability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to relocate to Nairobi, Kenya for the duration of the assignment.
