Job Description
Salary: USD 3,000 – 4,000 (Inclusive of Housing & Insurance Benefits)
Location: Nigeria
Role Purpose
Talent Grid Africa on behalf of our client is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to drive the growth and expansion of our client’s Commercial & Industrial Solar PV business in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strategic client relationships, and establishing a strong market presence for renewable energy and engineering solutions. This position forms part of the company's leadership succession plan, offering a clear career progression pathway to Country Manager as the Nigerian business expands.
Key Responsibilities
Drive business development and sales of Commercial & Industrial Solar PV systems and industrial
energy solutions across Nigeria.
Identify, engage, and convert commercial and industrial clients into long-term business partners.
Develop and execute market entry and expansion strategies to establish the business presence in the
Nigerian renewable energy sector.
Manage the entire sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal preparation, technical
presentations, negotiations, and contract closure.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and strategic
partners.
Coordinate with project execution teams to ensure seamless client engagement and technical
alignment throughout project implementation.
Conduct market research and provide competitor intelligence to support regional business growth
strategies.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and client meetings.
Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business development updates for
management review.
Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth objectives of the business.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a
related field.
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in industrial or technical sales.
Demonstrated experience in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar PV or the renewable energy
sector is mandatory.
Proven track record of successfully selling solar or energy solutions to commercial and industrial
clients.
Strong understanding of the Nigerian energy market and renewable energy landscape.
Experience developing new markets and securing high-value business opportunities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Currently based in Nigeria (highly preferred ).
Ability to work independently while driving strategic business growth.
