ABOUT THE COMPANY
Madison Group Limited is a locally owned financial services holding company that specializes in Insurance and wealth management services. The Group comprises of Madison Life Assurance Kenya Limited, Madison General Insurance Kenya Limited, and Madison Investment Managers Limited.
Madison Life Assurance Kenya was originally incorporated under Kenyan Laws in 1988 as Madison Insurance Company Limited (MICK) after a successful merger between Crusader Plc (1974) and Kenya Commercial Insurance Corporation. The Company has grown exponentially from combined Gross written premiums of KES 100m in 1988 to combined Gross written premiums of KES 6.2 Billion as at Dec 2017.
In 2018, MICK demerged into two separate companies – Madison General and Madison Life. Madison Life Assurance now underwrites life assurance business only while Madison General underwrites general insurance business.
JOB SUMMARY
Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceAt least 2 years’ experience in insurance sales especially in healthcare.Strong understanding of the healthcare insurance products and salesExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.High level of motivation and a results-oriented mindset.High level of integrity and ethical standards.Customer FocusAcademic and Professional Qualifications requiredBachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing or a related field.Certificate of Insurance (COP) or good progress in AIIK/ACII qualification
RESPONSIBILITIES
revenue targets for both new and renewal Retail business (SME and Family/Individual healthcare products)Introducing the company’s products and services to new and existing intermediaries and recruitment of new intermediaries as per the set targets. Establish and maintain strong business relationships with potential intermediaries and partner to promote growth of business and meet revenue targets. Identify new opportunities for growth in SMEs and Individual/Family Healthcare Products in order to drive sales. Coordinate the training of intermediaries on products and processes for the Retail Business.Co-ordinate any marketing campaigns to prospective customersEnsure achievement of customer expectations in liaison with the relevant sections of the businessEnsure compliance to all insurance regulations and company’s policies and procedures while distributing the company’s products and servicesEnsure timely payment of premium in line with the company’s credit policyProvide market feedback to the Healthcare Operations Departments to ensure quality service delivery and profitable growth.Conduct regular market analysis to identify changing trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growthHandle all queries and issues from intermediaries and clients regarding company products and processes.Any other duties assigned by management from time to time
