VETERINARY HATCHERY ASSISTANT

Job Description/Requirements

Role Objective
To support effective hatchery operations by applying veterinary and animal health knowledge while developing strong management and operational skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Support day-to-day hatchery operations and animal health activities.
• Apply veterinary and animal health knowledge in hatchery operations.
• Support monitoring of flock health, hygiene and biosecurity practices.
• Assist with operational and staff management activities.
• Maintain accurate operational and health-related records.
• Work closely with the hatchery management team.
• Participate actively in training and implement learned practices.
• Support continuous improvement of hatchery operations.

Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma or Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health or a related field.
• Veterinary background is mandatory.
• Good management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and undergo practical training.
• Ability to work effectively in a hatchery environment.
• Previous hatchery or poultry experience is an added advantage.

Training & Travel
• Selected candidates will travel to the company's Uganda plant for training.
• Training will take approximately one month.
• Candidates will return to Kenya after the training period to work at the Kenyan hatchery.
• Transport to and from Uganda will be catered for by the company.

Salary: KSh 25,000–30,000 gross
