Location: Nairobi or Kisii
**Salary (Gross): KES 35,000 – 55,000 per month

Our client, a leading beer distribution company, is seeking to recruit a highly organized and results-oriented Accountant to support its finance operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting processes, maintaining financial records, and providing timely financial insights to support business growth. Strong data analysis skills will be an added advantage. Must be flexible to being deployed either in Nairobi or Kisii.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and stock variance reports.
  • Monitor customer accounts, debt collection, ageing analysis, and credit limits.
  • Forecast cash flows and support budgeting and financial planning.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, contracts, insurance, tax records, and statutory filings.
  • Operate and maintain Pastel ERP, including stock receipts, stock issues, cash postings, M-Pesa postings, reconciliations, and report generation.
  • Balance stock records between Pastel and Excel.
  • Process customer orders, receipts, cash, cheques, and banking transactions.
  • Monitor credit position and maintain customer listings.
  • Compile daily operational reports, update acknowledgement registers, and record meeting minutes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and support management with financial analysis.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA (K) qualification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and debt management.
  • Proficiency in Pastel Accounting and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with financial software and data analysis will be an added advantage.

Salary
