Reports to: CEO
Key Responsibilities:
° Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
° General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
° Budgeting and Forecasting: Preparation of master annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
° Audits: Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all financial documents and reports are accurate and readily available.
° Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank reconciliations, to ensure financial accuracy.
° Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to support business strategy and decision-making.
° Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
° Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements:
° Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
° Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member in good standing with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
° Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
° Knowledge: Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and regulations.
° Age Requirement: Applicants must be 28 years old or younger at the time of application.
° Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and data analysis
