Job summary
Our client, a leading FMCG Distributor based in Kisii, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Accountant to join their team.
Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
* Manage debtors, sales accounting, cash collections, and banking.
* Perform bank, sales, purchases, stock, and account reconciliations.
* Manage VAT, tax, and statutory compliance.
* Support inventory management and maintain fixed asset records.
* Support audits, month-end and year-end accounting activities.
* Strengthen financial controls and provide financial analysis to management.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
* CPA/ACCA qualification or progress is an added advantage.
* Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience, preferably in FMCG/distribution.
* Strong experience in debtors, cash management, reconciliations, sales, and inventory accounting.
* Good knowledge of VAT, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
* Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.,
