Role Summary
As an Admission Officer at GEA, you will be responsible for managing and processing student applications to GEA partner universities and colleges worldwide. This is an entry-level experience role designed for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in international admissions and education
operations.
You will assist with application processing, document verification, data management, and coordination
with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions with internal teams (internal admissions, sales and recruitment team) to ensure timely and accurate submissions. The role requires strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a service-oriented mindset to support GEA’s commitment to
operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the admissions team in processing student applications across multiple destinations and partner universities
- Assist with document collection, verification, and quality checks to ensure completeness and compliance with institutional requirements
- Enter, update, and maintain student application data in CRM systems and university portals with accuracy and confidentiality
- Coordinate with internal recruitment, operations, and partner support teams to track application progress and resolve basic queries
- Follow defined admissions workflows, checklists, and timelines to ensure timely submission of applications
- Assist in monitoring application statuses and escalating delays or issues to senior team members when required
- Maintain organized digital records of applications, documents, and communications
- Support the preparation of basic reports, trackers, and updates related to application volumes and statuses
- Participate in training sessions, audits, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to understand best practices in admissions processing
- Adhere strictly to data privacy, confidentiality, and compliance standards at all times
Requirements & Experience
- 1-3 years experience in admissions support, education services and international education/student recruitment
- Exposure to education counseling, application processing, or back-office operations
- Basic understanding of international education systems or student application processes
- Willingness to learn and manage multiple tasks in a structured, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to follow processes carefully while maintaining accuracy and consistency
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in admissions support, education services and international education/student recruitment
- Graduate degree in any discipline
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Comfort working with data, documents, and online systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take guidance from senior team members
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced global environment
