RESPONSIBILITIES / RESULT AREAS

Strategic Responsibilities

1. Contribute as appropriate to the performance of the function and to the overall achievement of the Bank’s strategic objectives.
   

Technical and Operational Responsibilities

1. Work with the Cyber Security Operations Team to configure, manage, and upgrade firewalls, IDS, IPS, NAC, Encryption, and a wide variety of other security products/appliances. 
   

2. Assist in the implementation of Information Security Policies, Standards, Procedures & Minimum Baseline Standards
   

3. Assist in ensuring all existing products/services comply with the Bank’s security policies & standards and other industry best practices e.g., ISO27001, PCI, etc.
   

4. Assist in troubleshooting and remediation of Level 1/2 issues impacting Cyber Security operations. 
   

5. Assist in maintenance and support of various security systems including (but not limited to) Content filters, Antivirus, Logging Solutions, Network and Host IDS/IPS.
   

6. Assist in coordinating the patch and vulnerability management program.
   

7. Assist system custodians and key process owners in implementing Security controls as per the defined Security Strategy.
   

8. Participate in documenting & reviewing the changes, operation, and troubleshooting of Technology Security platforms and procedures.
   

9. Participate in the continual improvement of the cyber security programs.
   

10. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
    

     
    

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or a related field.
   

2. Certification in any of the following:
   1. CCNA, CCNP-Security, CEH, CISA, CISM, or any other information security-related course.
      
   2. Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems.
      
   3. Networking certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCSP/CCIE.
      

YEARS AND NATURE OF EXPERIENCE

1. At least 3 years’ experience in the following areas: IT User Support, Microsoft Windows, Linux/Unix Operating Systems, IT networks, and network protocols such as TCP/IP, Syslog, DNS, NetFlow, etc.
   

2. Knowledge and experience in the following areas will be an added advantage.
   1. Programming (shell, Python scripting, etc.), and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, PHP, etc.
      
   2. Routing, switching, and networking.
