Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Analytics & Decisioning Solutions Manager to lead the development, commercialization and growth of our Analytics & Decisioning Solutions (ADS) portfolio within the Data Department.

The role combines analytics, product development, business development and client relationship management to transform data and analytical capabilities into scalable, commercially viable solutions for institutional clients.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal technical, commercial and business teams to develop data-driven solutions that address client needs, support business growth and deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

• Analytics Product Development: Lead the development, enhancement and lifecycle management of analytics and decisioning products and solutions.
• Business Growth & Commercialisation: Identify market opportunities, develop the ADS pipeline and drive revenue growth through new and existing clients.
• Client & Institutional Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key institutional clients, drive product adoption and identify opportunities for account growth.
• Training & Knowledge Transfer: Develop and deliver relevant technical and business training to clients and internal teams to support product adoption and capability development.
• Solution Delivery & Collaboration: Work across Data, IT, Information Security, Finance, Legal, Marketing and other functions to ensure effective and compliant delivery of analytics solutions.
• Market & Product Innovation: Monitor market trends, emerging technologies and client needs to identify opportunities for new products, partnerships and commercial solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Econometrics or a related quantitative field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative, business, finance, economics or technology discipline, together with relevant professional qualifications and experience. This is mandatory.
• At least five years’ relevant experience in financial services, credit, analytics, data science, risk or a related environment.
• At least three years’ experience in business development, advisory, commercialization or institutional client relationship management.
• Demonstrated experience in financial services, credit risk, analytics, quantitative modelling or data-driven solutions.
• Experience in developing and delivering technical or professional training.
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical or analytical capabilities into commercial products and solutions.

Added Advantage

Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:

• Credit bureau, rating agency, consulting, fintech or analytics environment.
• Commercialisation of data, analytics, API or decisioning solutions.
• Credit scoring, risk analytics, customer analytics or decisioning.
• Product management and commercialisation.
• Professional certification in risk, analytics, data, actuarial science or product management.
• Experience working within the East African financial services market.
