At Eni, we are seeking a Business Development Officer to join Eni Natural Energies Kenya EPZ Ltd. in Nairobi. You will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships and supporting the organisation's commercial objectives. This role requires a proactive professional who can research market trends, forge strategic partnerships and ensure that clients consistently receive tailored, high-value solution.
Main Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain and nurture relationships with Eni's clients, continuously assessing and responding to their evolving requirements.
- Consult with existing and prospective clients to provide products and solutions tailored to their specific needs.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client support throughout the duration of each engagement with the company.
Market Intelligence & Business Growth
- Continuously monitor markets and industry trends through research, networking, and regional benchmarking to identify opportunities and support business growth.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across the organisation.
- Assess the evolving commercial landscape and analyse potential competitors within the company’s sector.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
- Arrange and facilitate meetings with key decision-makers in target organisations to establish and strengthen strategic partnerships.
- Establish, manage, and maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders.
Strategy & Leadership
- Provide leadership in establishing a B2B function by designing and executing an effective strategy to support commercial growth objectives.
- Oversee the execution of the organisation’s strategic and annual business plans.
- Promote a culture that reflects the organisation’s values and commercial vision.
Skills And Experience Required
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
Experience
- Relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role.
- Demonstrated track record of managing client relationships and delivering business growth.
- Experience in the energy, oil and gas, or a related sector is highly desirable.
