POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & TENDER OFFICER

KEY ROLE OBJECTIVE

The role holder will be responsible for:

  • Driving constant client acquisition
  • Identifying and closing new business opportunities
  • Hunting and winning tenders (public and private sector)
  • Building strategic partnerships
  • Expanding company market share across Kenya
  • Increasing revenue through aggressive sales execution

This is a high-performance, target-driven role. Only serious sales professionals should apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets
  • Conduct cold calls, field visits, and corporate presentations
  • Convert leads into long-term contracts
  • Build strong sales pipelines across multiple service lines

2. Tender Management & Proposal Writing

  • Monitor tender portals, newspapers, and procurement notices
  • Prepare, submit, and manage tender documentation
  • Develop competitive proposals, quotations, and bid responses
  • Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and deadlines
  • Coordinate pricing with operations and finance teams

3. Corporate Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Upsell and cross-sell company services
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals
  • Expand revenue from existing clients

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
  • Conduct regular client follow-ups and reviews
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and retention
  • Handle renewals and contract extensions

5. Market Expansion & Partnerships

  • Identify new market segments and territories
  • Build partnerships with property managers, developers, and institutions
  • Drive brand visibility and market penetration 


PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The role is strictly performance-based and will be measured on:

  • New contracts won per month
  • Revenue generated
  • Number of qualified leads generated
  • Tender success rate
  • Client retention and renewals
  • Territory growth
