Carpenter

Our client is seeking to hire a Carpenter who will be responsible for crafting, repairing and finishing furniture by upholstering, varnishing and performing joinery work to meet the company’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. 
   
2. Upholster furniture items, ensuring a high standard of finish.
   
3. Apply varnish, stains, and other finishes to furniture surfaces.
   
4. Perform joinery tasks such as assembly and repairs of wooden furniture.
   
5. Follow design and safety specifications while working.
   
6. Inspect furniture items for quality and correct any defects.
   
7. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
   
8. Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
   

Required Qualifications:

1. 
   
2. Proven experience in upholstery, varnishing, or joinery
   
3. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
   
4. Ability to read and interpret design drawings
   
5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
   
6. Certificate or diploma in carpentry, upholstery, or furniture making (preferred but not mandatory)
   
7. Hands-on technical skills with traditional tools (hammers, saws, staplers, spray guns, etc.)
   
8. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and furniture
   
9. Willingness to learn new techniques and improve skills through on-the-job training
