Job descriptions & requirements
Key responsibilities:
- Provide accurate Chinese–English interpretation and translation during meetings, site visits, and daily operations.
- Assist in translating technical documents, reports, and communication related to engineering and construction projects.
- Facilitate effective communication between Chinese and local staff.
- Support coordination and understanding between multicultural teams.
- Perform on-site interpretation when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in English, Chinese-English Translation, Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English, with clear pronunciation and strong interpretation ability.
- Familiarity with technical terminology related to architecture, civil engineering, and engineering projects.
- Previous translation experience in engineering or construction-related industries is preferred.
- Strong cross-cultural communication and adaptability skills.
- Ability to adapt to the local working environment in Kenya.
- Physically fit and able to work in construction site conditions when required.
