Job summary
Zenwheels Ltd is seeking a motivated and people-oriented Collection Officer to join our growing team in Mombasa. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers on their motor vehicle financing repayments — guiding them through their obligations, working through challenges constructively, and ensuring accounts are resolved in a timely

Key Responsibilities
• Own the customer repayment journey — from proactive follow-up on upcoming installments to structured resolution of overdue accounts.
• Engage customers in meaningful repayment conversations, negotiating realistic arrangements and recommending restructuring of financing agreements where the situation warrants it.
• Maintain a disciplined and accurate record of all account activity including repayments, defaults, repossessions, and recoveries.
• Initiate formal recovery procedures where required, including preparation of demand letters and active coordination with auctioneers and legal counsel.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to resolve account matters efficiently, escalating complex or high-risk cases through the appropriate channels.
Academic Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• CPA qualification is an added advantage.
Professional Requirements
• Prior exposure to credit management or asset finance is an advantage — candidates without this background are encouraged to apply and will receive structured onboarding.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of client interactions with professionalism and consistency.

• Clear and composed communicator — equally effective across high-volume calls, written correspondence, and face-to-face engagements.
