JOB SUMMARY
ABOUT SOLARGEN Founded in 2010, Solargen is a leading provider of sustainable energy and water solutions in Kenya. After 15 years of successful operations and impact, we are expanding our footprint nationwide. We are looking for a high-level storyteller who amplify our impact stories and be part of a team that is changing lives for the better.THE ROLE We have 15 years of incredible stories, from Turkana to Mandera ,and we need you to tell them. We are looking for a mobile, creative, and empathetic storyteller who can capture the impact of our solar and water projects on Kenyan lives.RESPONSIBILITIES● Travel to project sites to capture high-quality video and photography.● Create engaging project case studies for LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.● Manage the daily social media calendar and community engagement.●Video editing (CapCut/Adobe Premiere) and graphic design (Canva/Adobe).●Draft educational blog posts and newsletters that simplify complex solar concepts.QUALIFICATIONS● A degree in marketing, communications, Graphic design, IT or related field● 2+ years of experience in Content Creation or Social Media Management.● A strong portfolio showing video editing and photography skills.● Excellent written English and Swahili.● Willingness to travel to remote regions to capture authentic stories.● Knowledge of social media algorithms and how to drive organic reach.
