South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) was established on 1st March 2013. The University’s Main Campus is located near Kwa-Vonza, Kitui County, about 160 km from Nairobi along Machakos-Kitui Road.

JOB SUMMARY

Job SpecificationThe duties and responsibilities entails:Performing regular checks on security around hostels and within the hostels to ensure safety is guaranteed to the students.Ensuring cleanliness in the hostels by supervising casuals for purposes of having the hostels hygienic and safe for students’ accommodation.Inspecting the hostel rooms, entire building and equipment on a daily basis to ensure operating standards in the hostels are as per the requirements.Reporting matters of repair and maintenance to relevant authority after inspection of the rooms to ensure the hostels are in good working conditions.Ensuring room allocation to students is undertaken to provide accommodation to the students every semester in line with the University policies.Persons specificationsFor appointment to this post, a candidate must:Have a relevant Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) Month.KCSE - D Plain or its equivalent.At least four (4) years relevant working experience.Be computer literateSatisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) on Leadership and Integrity upon successful appointment.ORHave a Certificate in criminology or social work or equivalent from a recognised institution.Have a KCSE - D Plain or its equivalent from a recognised institution.Be computer Literate.Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) on Leadership and Integrity upon successful appointment.
