JOB SUMMARY

About the RoleWe're looking for a mid-level Data Scientist to join our IT team in Nakuru, supporting business intelligence efforts across departments. Working under the guidance of the Head of IT, you'll help unify data from SAP, SQL databases, Excel, and third-party systems into clear, interactive Power Bl dashboards that deliver real-time, actionable insights to finance, sales, marketing, and production teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities•    Consolidate and clean data from SAP (SQL-based), Excel, and other platforms•     Build and maintain automated Power Bl dashboards tailored to departmental needs•    Translate business questions into structured reports and analytical models•    Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and fine-tune outputs•    Explore and incorporate Al tools to enrich reporting, forecasting, or anomaly detection•     Ensure reliable data pipelines, scheduled refreshes, and version control•     Document data structures and maintain consistency across systems.•     3-5 years in a data-focused role (data analyst, Bl specialist, or data scientist)Required Skills & Experience•     Hands-on experience with Power Bl, SQL, Excel, and SAP data extraction•     Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams and SharePoint•     Exposure to Al features in analytics, such as predictive modelling or intelligent visualizations•     Strong data communication skills-translating complexity into clarity
