Electrical Technician
Job summary
The Electrical Technician will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance works and assist the department in trouble shooting all issues relating to, electrical and electronic systems (PLCs), in order to ensure maximum up time of machines, equipment and utilities.

Key
responsibilities
- Develop
and review standard operating procedures for the electrical section.
- Conduct
scheduled preventative maintenance and address electrical faults
promptly.
- Diagnose
and repair defects in electrical systems, ensuring smooth machine
operation.
- Monitor
and maintain generator and power control systems.
- Prevent
unauthorized access to restricted areas like the generator room.
- Maintain
housekeeping standards and adhere to 5S practices.
- Participate
in energy audits and installation of new machines.
- Ensure
accurate documentation and reporting of maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, use PPE, and report incidents promptly
Skills
and Attributes
- Excellent
collaboration skills.
- Problem
solving & decision making.
- Advanced
electrical and electronic installation, troubleshooting, and
maintenance skills.
- Ability
to work in rotating shifts, including day, evening and nights.
- Ability
to work under pressure
- Computer Literacy i.e. Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum
Diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent
- At
least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant/heavy equipment
field
- Thorough knowledge of transmission operations, PLCs
