The United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the world’s environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the environment.
Responsibilities:
The Individual Contractor will perform the following tasks: Facilitate engagement of Faith-based organizations on fighting plastic pollution. Design an advocacy campaign on Green Faith Festivals. Facilitate the implementation of the Human-nature Relationship Challenge. Facilitate an assessment and mapping of Faith-Based Natural assets of land, forests and ecosystems. Coordinate efforts for the Faith Pavilion organized with more than 20 events. Prepare Faith for Earth Achievement Report.Requirements
Qualifications/special skills
A Bachelor’s Degree in Law with knowledge of UNEP, international organisations, and interreligious dialogue is required. A minimum of 2 years of suitable experience in areas relevant to programme management and delivery, multistakeholder engagement within the UN System, first-hand knowledge of engaging faith-based organisations, interreligious dialogues and knowledge of how UNEP operates is required.SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
