- Plan, coordinate, and supervise crop production activities including land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
- Monitor crop health, identify production challenges, and implement appropriate measures for pest, disease, and productivity management.
- Maintain accurate crop production records including inputs, yields, costs, and performance reports.
- Oversee daily livestock management activities including feeding, breeding, health monitoring, and general animal husbandry practices.
- Ensure proper implementation of livestock health programs, hygiene standards, and animal welfare practices.
- Maintain livestock records including feeding schedules, treatments, production performance, and inventory records.
- Coordinate daily farm activities and allocate tasks to farm workers to ensure efficient execution of production plans.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate farm employees while ensuring adherence to farm procedures and safety standards.
- Monitor use and maintenance of farm tools, equipment, machinery, and other operational resources.
- Support development and implementation of farm production plans, budgets, and operational schedules.
- Manage farm resources including labour, inputs, equipment, and supplies to optimize and minimize wastage.
- Monitor operational costs and provide recommendations for improved efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain accurate farm records covering crop production, livestock performance, inventory, labour, and operational expenses.
- Prepare regular reports on farm activities, production performance, challenges, and recommendations.
- Ensure proper documentation and availability of records to support decision-making and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to agricultural best practices, farm policies, environmental standards, and safety requirements.
- Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions where standards are not met.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing farm productivity and sustainability.
- Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, or a related agricultural field.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience managing or supervising a commercial mixed farm.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in crop and livestock production systems.
- Experience supervising farm teams and managing agricultural operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good planning, organization, and decision-making abilities.
- Financial management and cost-control skills.
