Job Summary
Kawa Garments Ltd is looking for an experienced Fashion Designer and cutter, to be responsible and accountable for the research and development of new lines of clothing. The fashion designer will be responsible for ensuring high quality products and value from our target customers.

Job Description/Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the design and sales team to develop ideas for new products based on research data and customer requirements.
- Overseeing the production of designs, including carrying out fittings, determining prices and managing marketing
- Designing sketches for new products with the design team
- Creating clothing patterns for mass production
- Maintaining relationships with supply chain team, customer service team as well as vendors
- Communicating technical design information for customer samples
- Working with team members to design clothes for different functions
- Selecting fabrics and trims
- Creating tech packs with detailed specifications
- Developing CAD sketches to present to stakeholders
- Overseeing the prototype sample process.
- Creating cost sheets and product lists
- Must be adept at designing and making ladies clothing.
Related Education and Experience
- At least 5 years work experience as a fashion designer or similar role, preferably in
- manufacturing apparel companies
- A bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related course
- Ability to create, cut and sew-up patterns. Ability to oversee and train a team
- Proficiency in computer-aided fashion design applications and digital visualization tools
- Great attention to detail.
