Job Description/Requirements
- Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing for FTTH, FTTB, and backbone links.
- Conduct OTDR, VFL, and power meter testing to ensure high-quality signal performance.
- Install and maintain fiber routes, manholes, ducting, trunking, and structured cabling.
- Troubleshoot faults, perform repairs, and ensure minimal downtime for clients.
- Ensure neat, safe, and standardized installations in residential and commercial buildings.
- Prepare technical reports and update project documentation.
- Collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and other technicians to deliver quality work.
Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in Telecommunications, ICT, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in fiber splicing and field installations (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of OTDR usage, fiber color coding, and PON/FTTH architecture.
- Ability to work independently and handle tools/equipment confidently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driving/motorbike license is an added advantage.
