Field Sales Representative

Job Description

Job Purpose
Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our client, a growing hardware store, is looking for a hardworking and energetic Field Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for walking around the local area, meeting building contractors, and finding new customers to buy our building materials. This role acts as a vital link in growing our local client base, requiring an individual who is aggressive at selling and comfortable working outdoors.

Key Responsibilities
• Visit construction sites, hardware shops, and plots in Syokimau daily to find new buyers.
• Show customers our product list, negotiate prices, and secure orders for building materials.
• Maintain good relationships with local foremen, fundis, contractors, and home builders.
• Keep track of what items competitors are selling and what products customers are asking for.
• Ensure customers pay for their orders on time and deliver receipts safely.
• Work hard to meet simple daily and weekly sales goals set by the shop management.

Qualifications
✓ Form Four Certificate (KCSE) or a Certificate/Diploma in Sales or Business is preferred.
✓ 1 to 2 years of experience working in field sales, retail sales, or working within a hardware setup.
✓ Must be very familiar with Syokimau and surrounding coastal-inland bypass areas to move around
easily.
✓ Strong verbal communication skills in Kiswahili and basic English.
✓ Honest, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision while on the move.
