Flexographic Machine Operator– Expatriate Position

Key Responsibilities:

· Set up, operate, and maintain flexographic printing machines to ensure high-quality production.

· Handle solvent-based inks, ensuring proper viscosity, color matching, and waste management.

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.

· Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

· Monitor production efficiency and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.

· Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to printing and solvent ink usage.

· Maintain accurate records of production, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting logs.

· Train and support local operators as needed.

Requirements:

· At least 10 years of experience in flexographic printing, with a minimum of 3 years operating flexographic presses.

· Working experience on Edale flexographic is preferable

· Strong experience working with solvent-based inks.

· Fluent in English (both written and spoken) – required for effective communication.

· Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.

· Willingness to relocate to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for an expatriate assignment.

· Strong work ethic, adaptability, and ability to train local staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in label printing or flexible packaging industries.

· Knowledge of water-based inks (in addition to solvent inks).

· Technical certification or formal training in flexographic printing.
