Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, a Leading Manufacturing Company with international presence, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position:
General Manager (based in Kenya)
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Develop and execute the company’s business strategies to attain the goals of the board and shareholders.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to all departments, aligning them with the overall company objectives
• Ensure the company maintains high social responsibility wherever it does business.
• Guarantees the company’s compliance to government’s laws and regulations.
• Establishes an effective organizational structure for the operations of company
• Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth while driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company culture.
• Represent the company in relevant external affairs, ensuring a strong corporate image.
• Drive sales expansion across Kenya and the East African region through distributor networks, project sales, and key account management.
• Strengthening relationships with architects, developers, contractors, and strategic partners.
• Oversee operations, supply chain, and logistics to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, financial controls, and Group policies.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
• Master’s degree or MBA will be an asset
• 8+ years of experience in a managerial role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in aluminum or construction.
• Preferable candidates will have a robust background in construction materials, aluminum systems, building materials, or similar industries.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Proven experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working within multinational or matrix organizations is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in managing budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to think analytically
• Ability to work under pressure
