Job summary
We are seeking a competent Glass, Windows and Doors Installation Technician to measure, fabricate where required, and install glass panels, aluminium windows, doors, and related fittings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering precise installations, ensuring quality finishes, functionality, durability, and compliance with project specifications.
Key responsibilities
• Measure openings and verify dimensions before fabrication or installation.
• Install aluminium, glass, and other specified window and door systems.
• Fit glass panels, frames, hinges, handles, locks, rollers, and other hardware.
• Cut, prepare, and fit glass where trained and equipped to do so.
• Apply silicone sealants, gaskets, and weatherproofing materials.
• Adjust installed doors and windows to ensure smooth opening, closing, and locking.
• Inspect installations for alignment, stability, finishing, and defects.
• Handle and transport glass safely to minimise breakage and injury.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, clients, and other technicians.
• Maintain tools and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
Requirements and qualifications
• Technical training in glazing, aluminium fabrication, construction, or a related field.
• Proven practical experience installing glass, aluminium windows, and doors.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Knowledge of glass types, aluminium profiles, hardware, sealants, and installation techniques.
• Ability to use relevant hand and power tools safely.
• Good workmanship, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
