Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement risk-based audit plans aligned with Halal standards and applicable regulatory requirements, defining audit scope, processes, and priorities.
- Conduct on-site and remote Halal audits of manufacturing facilities, slaughterhouses, and supply chains to assess compliance with Halal, food safety, and quality management system requirements.
- Perform comprehensive reviews of client applications, technical documentation, records, and production processes to evaluate certification readiness and ongoing compliance.
- Evaluate and verify compliance with Halal standards, regulatory frameworks, and certification criteria, including validation of materials, ingredients, processes, labeling, and traceability.
- Prepare accurate and detailed audit reports documenting findings, non‑conformities, observations, and recommendations in accordance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Identify non‑compliance issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions, providing technical guidance to support effective implementation.
- Verify closure of non‑conformities and provide final technical recommendations supporting certification eligibility and decision-making processes.
- Design, implement, and manage end‑to‑end Halal assurance and control systems for slaughterhouse operations, ensuring full compliance with Shariah requirements, animal welfare, segregation, traceability, and documentation controls.
- Ensure all certification activities comply with UAE.S 2055‑2, GSO 2055‑2, ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17021, UAE Halal Scheme, JAKIM requirements, and relevant international and Canadian food safety regulations.
- Provide technical and scientific advisory support on Halal standards, food safety, and product compliance to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding audit processes, findings, certification requirements, and compliance expectations, coordinating with internal technical teams as required.
- Support business development and client onboarding through technical input during proposals, pre‑certification assessments, and client meetings.
- Assist in lead conversion by clearly explaining certification value, compliance pathways, and technical requirements to prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and repeat certification business.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective clients, including expanded certification scopes and additional services.
- Engage with industry stakeholders, including manufacturers, slaughterhouses, and exporters, to promote awareness and adoption of Halal certification requirements.
- Maintain accurate and secure audit and client records, ensuring confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with information security standards.
- Stay current with updates to Halal standards, regulations, and industry trends, driving continuous improvement in audit methodologies and technical practices.
- Make objective, evidence‑based technical decisions regarding compliance status and certification outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding audit processes, findings, certification requirements, and compliance expectations. Address inquiries and coordinate with internal teams and technical experts.
- Support client acquisition and onboarding by providing technical input during proposals, pre-certification assessments, and client meetings.
