Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Head Chef based in Eastleigh North ward. The Head Chef will oversee the kitchen operations, design menus, and ensure food quality and presentation meet the highest standards. Day-to-day tasks include managing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, ordering ingredients, and supervising meal preparations. The role also involves collaborating with management to create innovative dishes and catering to customer preferences.
Qualifications
- Culinary expertise in food preparation, presentation, and various cooking techniques
- Experience in kitchen management, such as staff supervision, inventory control, and scheduling
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation requirements
- Proficiency in menu planning and ability to develop creative, customer-focused dishes
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience is a plus
