A growing Medical Laboratory in Machakos and Murang’a is seeking dynamic Sales and Marketing Executives with proven track record in the health sector. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, closing deals in a competitive market, and building client relationships. Geographical flexibility and the ability to collaborate, manage teams and client relationships are crucial for success in this role.

Job Description/Requirements

1. Sales Strategy Development and Execution:

● Formulate and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive business growth.

● Achieve or surpass sales targets by closing leads in a competitive market.


2. Brand Awareness and Market Positioning:

● Enhance brand visibility and recognition through effective marketing initiatives.

● Develop innovative approaches to navigate a highly competitive market landscape.

● Plan and execute medical camps, drives, and networking programs to expand the customer base.

● Effectively coordinate and participate in events to raise awareness.


3. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

● Identify and engage potential clients, including hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals.

● Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with existing and repeat clients.


4. Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

● Conduct thorough market research to stay abreast of industry trends.

● Monitor competitors and analyse pricing strategies for informed decision-making.


5. Contract Negotiation and Finalization:

● Negotiate and finalize contracts, ensuring clear terms and conditions are established.

● Secure agreements with clients to meet organizational objectives.


6. Sales Monitoring and Reporting:

● Monitor and provide regular reports on sales performance to the management team.

● Utilise insights for continuous improvement and strategy refinement.


7. Healthcare Understanding and Market Insight:

● Leverage healthcare background and understanding of the medical laboratory market.

● Utilize insights to make informed decisions and capitalize on industry dynamics.


8. Intern Collaboration: 

● Work closely with marketing interns in each branch, ensuring seamless marketing continuity.

● Provide coaching and guidance to the marketing interns for skill development and knowledge transfer.


General Qualifications

a. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

b. Experience: Proven track record of at least 2 years in a sales or marketing role, in the healthcare or medical services industry.

● Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective sales strategies.

● Experience in negotiating and finalizing contracts.

c. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the medical laboratory market and healthcare sector. Familiarity with industry trends, competitor analysis, and pricing strategies.
