Hotel Engineer

The purpose of the job is to efficiently plan, control and coordinate maintenance programs for all assets and equipments as per manufacturer’s guidelines and company policy within the hotel.

Hotel Engineer Job Responsibilities

The duties of the person shall include:

• Implementing planned preventive maintenance programs and annual maintenance contracts.
• Draw and implement energy conservation policy.
• Recommend and implement changes in processes, materials and equipment, in order to enhance service levels and improve the operational efficiency.
• Responsible for Safety, Health and Environment systems & procedures.
• Liaise with government agencies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Requirements For Hotel Engineer Jobs 

The ideal person should be at least 35 years of age and have:

• An undergraduate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• A masters qualification will be an added advantage.
• A professional qualification in the same field.
• Thorough knowledge of building services, mechanical, electrical, civil and related equipment and working knowledge of all other plant, equipment and utilities.
• Energy & environment conservation techniques
• 5 years experience in a similar field.
• Good management and supervisory skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
