Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding :Develop and implement local recruitment strategies, be fully responsible for the entire recruitment process including demand confirmation, job posting, resume screening, interview arrangement, offer issuance and onboarding procedures, focusing on the localization of key positions and building a high-quality talent team that meets business needs. Organize new employee onboarding training to help new employees integrate into the team quickly and adapt to the job.
- HR Policy & Compliance :Develop, revise and implement local HR policies and procedures in line with Kenyan labor laws, regulations and the company’s global standards, regularly review policy compliance, and update policies in a timely manner according to changes in local laws and regulations. Be responsible for labor contract management, ensure standardized signing, renewal and termination of labor contracts, and properly handle labor disputes and grievance management to avoid legal risks.
- Performance & Talent Development :Build and implement a localized performance management system, guide department heads to conduct performance appraisals, track the implementation of appraisal results, and promote the application of appraisal results in salary adjustment, promotion and training. Formulate local employee training and development plans, identify talent development needs, organize internal and external training activities, and help employees improve their professional capabilities and build a talent echelon.
- Compensation & Benefits :Establish a competitive local compensation and benefits system that is in line with the Kenyan market level, coordinate with the headquarters HR team to complete salary payment, and manage salary adjustments, bonuses and benefits. As the main contact for local salary outsourcing services, ensure the timeliness and accuracy of salary payment. Track the local market compensation level and adjust the company’s compensation strategy in a timely manner to enhance talent attraction and retention.
- Employee Relations & Culture Building :Serve as an HR consultant for business departments, provide professional advice on employee relations, performance management and daily HR affairs. Build and maintain good employee relations, regularly communicate with employees to understand their needs and opinions, and improve employee engagement and satisfaction. Promote the integration of corporate culture and local culture, plan employee activities and team building activities, and enhance team cohesion.
- HR Reporting & Administration :Regularly compile HR reports (including recruitment, turnover, performance, training, etc.) and provide ad-hoc reports as required. Manage HR information systems, ensure the accuracy and completeness of employee data. Participate in HR-related projects and process optimization work, and assist in the coordination of daily administrative work related to HR.
Job Requirements:
- Work Experience :At least 5 years of HR management experience, with more than 3 years of experience in a managerial role; experience in large enterprises, multinational companies or overseas (especially Africa) HR work is preferred. Experience in building local HR systems and handling Kenyan labor-related affairs is a must.
- Professional Skills :Proficient in all HR modules (recruitment, performance, compensation, employee relations, compliance), with strong practical operation ability. Familiar with Kenyan labor laws, regulations and HR best practices, able to effectively control legal risks. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Word) and HR information systems.
- Personal Qualities :Strong cross-cultural communication and coordination skills, able to adapt to cultural differences between China and Africa. Possess good leadership, communication skills, interpersonal skills and influence. Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and pursue continuous improvement. Have a strong sense of compliance and integrity.
