POSITION SUPERVISES: Data Entry Officer
LOCATION: Head Office
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop, update and implement the Information and Communication Technology strategy, ICT policies and procedures;Â
2. Develop and maintain an interactive IT infrastructure ensuring data security, backup and integrity of the management of information systems;Â
3. Regularly customize, enhance and maintain all IT systems such as Microsoft Exchange and Data base, Mpesa System, Loan Performer, and Kaspersky Anti-Virus to facilitate faster access and processing of information;Â
4. Develop guidelines for systems development and enhance user requirements and standards as well as user support on the management information system;Â
5. Coordinate computer hardware and software maintenance and support;Â
6. Undertake research and advice management on the best ICT systems/practices and expert knowledge on information communication technology issues;Â
7. In-charge of the website, monitoring web access and content management; and provide support in all communication issues including internet/email accessibility, equipment and Network communication functionality;
8. Implement and enforce the Disaster Recovery procedures including start and end of day, End of Month and End Of Year procedures, i.e. daily and weekly backups, offsite data storage and recovery; as well as undertake systems audit.
9. Maintain and update clients’ data while ensuring their accuracy, timeliness, adequacy and reliability; and provide appropriate reports for decision making;
10. Liaise with other departments through departmental heads about any ICT related tasks required;
11. Develop and update users on their ICT skills;
12. Advise on procurement of ICT materials, software and equipment and custodian of all departmental equipment including software, hardware and arising licenses ensuring cost effectiveness;
13. Manage staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, delegating authority and performance management.
14. Undertake any other assignments as directed by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT with 2 years relevant work experience or a Diploma in any of the above fields with 4 years relevant experience
2. Working knowledge of server administration, script programming, networking and web design tools
3. Knowledge of hardware repairs and maintenance including computer assembling and trouble shooting
4. CCNA or MCSE or MCBDA certification
5. Accounting knowledge will be an added advantage
6. High level of professionalism and integrity
7. Excellent leadership and people management skills
8. Excellent public relations, communication and reporting skills
