JOB SUMMARY
The role is responsible for supporting the effective delivery and management of the organization’s insurance services by implementing insurance strategies, policies, and standards while ensuring compliance with established procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and ResponsibilitiesParticipate in implementing strategies, policies and standards pertaining to insurance servicesHold meetings with Brokers on public liability/third party policies to ensure quick claims settlementCo-ordinate defense instructions, court hearing and appearance on insurance cases in liaison with legal departmentCo-ordinate litigation on public liability /third party insurance related claims Process settlement of insurance claims in accordance with existing policies and proceduresPrepare reports on public liability policiesScrutinize insurance policy documents and contracts and advising accordinglyParticipate in insurance awareness workshops in liaison with relevant stakeholders Participate in evaluation of insurance tenders as necessaryVerify, process renewal premiums and manage the register of logbooksFacilitate dispatch of motor certificates to concerned parties in time.Prepare departmental budgetEvaluate and process invoices of paymentsQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business related field from a recognized InstitutionDiploma in Insurance Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute or Insurance Institute of Kenya Five (5) years relevant work experience in related field Excellent planning, presentation, evaluation skillsAnalytical and strategic thinkerGood interpersonal and communication skills Creative and InnovativeDrive for results and achievements Problem solving skillsCustomer Focus
