It represents the interests of members and stakeholders engaged in providing cleaner and more efficient cooking solutions in Kenya at both the national and county levels. Our vision is universal access and adoption of clean and efficient cooking solutions and practices in Kenya through a sustainable market environment.


Key Project Deliverables

1. Development of a digital sector-wide knowledge management platform hosting relevant data guided by the National Clean Cooking Sector Knowledge Management Strategy. The system includes a baseline for the sector-wide Key Performance Indicators and coordination of subsequent partner reporting.

2. Coordinate periodic cooking sector data collection surveys to fill knowledge gaps and update the platform.

3. Coordinate private sector reporting for national obligations such as NDC reporting via the platform.


Job Description

The company seeks to recruit short-term services (8 months-part-time/full-time) of an IT Knowledge Management (ITKM) Officer. The officer, also known as an IT Analyst, will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of an organization’s information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems, gathering and analysis of data, and providing technical insights to improve the effectiveness of project deliverables.


Responsibilities:

•  Install, configure, monitor system performance, and maintain hardware and software components of the ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and peripherals.

•  Implement and maintain security measures to protect ICT systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other threats.

•  Provide technical support to staff, monitor and enforce compliance with ICT policies and standards, and resolving hardware and software issues.

•  Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for infrastructure improvements, upgrades, and migrations.

•  Collect and analyze data related to clean cooking, climate action, emissions reductions, and adaptation efforts - Design information systems and structures to ensure efficient knowledge access and retrieval.

•  Create and manage digital content used for training, knowledge sharing, or communication purposes.


Requirements and Qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology(IT), Information Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

•  Professional certifications (e.g., Data science, CompTIA, Cisco, SAS Certified) are preferred.

•  3-4 years proven experience in ICT support, website development and administration.

•  Experience in creating and implementing knowledge management systems to facilitate information sharing and collaboration.

•  Experience with data collection, cleaning, storage, and analysis methodologies.

•  Ability to create clear, informative dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

•  Proven experience in programming languages, e.g. python, C++, R, SQL, JavaScript, Julia.

•  Solid understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.

•  Relevant experience in clean cooking-related issues, monitoring, and reporting.
