About the Role: Our client is a Nairobi-based private aviation charter company delivering helicopter, turboprop, and business jet solutions. They are seeking a proactive and highly skilled IT & Systems Officer to support and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and day-to-day technical operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth system performance, resolving technical issues, maintaining security standards, and supporting business continuity through efficient technology management.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Maintain and monitor the organization’s IT systems, networks, hardware, and software.
  
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff.
  
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, routers, and other IT equipment.
  
• Ensure data security, system backups, and disaster recovery procedures are implemented.
  
• Monitor system performance and recommend upgrades or improvements where necessary.
  
• Support and maintain cloud-based systems, email systems, and communication tools.
  
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related support.
  
• Maintain proper documentation of systems, processes, and IT assets.
  
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and cybersecurity best practices.
  
• Assist in implementing new technologies and system enhancements.
  

KPI

• 
  
• Website delivery - Fully functional company website built and live within 10 days of start date.
  
• Systems integration - All automation and notification workflows operational and tested before go live.
  
• System uptime - 100% uptime maintained during business hours. Any outage resolved within 2 hours.
  
• Ongoing support - All digital assets maintained, updated, and secured on an ongoing basis.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  
• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 3 years in IT, web development, or systems management
  
• Has personally built and deployed at least one live commercial website from scratch
  
• Hands-on experience with CRM platforms
  
• HubSpot or equivalent
  
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and automation tools
  
• Web hosting, domain management, and Google Workspace administration
  
• Understanding of data access controls and user permission management
  
• Comfortable managing systems and security independently without a technical team above them
  
• Must own a laptop, smartphone, and reliable internet connection
  
• Must be reachable and responsive outside standard hours when required
