Junior Estimating Assistant – Low Voltage / Electrical SystemsOn-site | Nairobi, KenyaAbout the RoleWe are hiring a Junior Estimating Assistant to support the estimating team on low-voltage (electrical systems) construction projects. This is a hands-on, junior-level role focused on quantity take-offs, plan review, and bid support.This position is ideal for junior professionals or recent graduates with a technical or electrical background who are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with construction drawings.No design work is involved. The role focuses on accurate counting, organizing, and reviewing scope.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specificationsReview plan sets and identify drawings related to low-voltage systems (data, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, fiber)Use Bluebeam to mark, count, and document take-offsEnter and maintain estimating data in Google SheetsAssist with bid preparation, organizing scope and quantitiesTrack bid items, deadlines, and missing informationOrganize project files, drawings, and supporting documentsCommunicate with internal team members as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES

Required Background & Skills6+ months of experience in estimating, take-offs, or a related electrical / technical fieldBackground in:Electrical EngineeringElectronics EngineeringElectrical / Electronics TechnologyConstruction or other technical-related fieldsHands-on experience using Bluebeam for take-offs (required)Basic ability to read and understand construction drawingsComfortable using Google Sheets and emailWillingness to learn low-voltage systems and estimating standardsWhat We Are Looking ForStrong attention to detailAbility to work on repetitive tasks without losing accuracyOrganized, reliable, and accountableAble to move forward even when some information is missingWilling to ask questions and learnWork SetupOn-site positionLocation: Nairobi, Kenya
