JOB SUMMARY We are in need of a highly skilled Language Specialist – Annotation to support the development of advanced AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems who you will apply your linguistic expertise to annotate, review, and validate language data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance.
Key Responsibilities
- Annotate and review text, speech, or conversational datasets
- label and text data for parts of speech, sentiment, intent, syntax project guidelines.
- Ensure cultural and contextual appropriateness of annotated data
- Develop and refine annotation guidelines
- Conduct quality assurance and inter-annotator agreement checks
- Provide feedback to improve workflows and annotation standards
- Support multilingual or domain-specific annotation projects (if applicable)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Languages, or related field
- Native or near-native proficiency in the target language(s)
- Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and language structure.
- Experience in linguistic annotation or data labeling projects.
- Familiarity with NLP concepts and AI workflows.
- Experience with annotation tools (e.g., Label Studio, Prodigy, ELAN).
- Knowledge of corpus linguistics or discourse analysis.
- Multilingual capabilities.
